Project: Removal of Orange II from water using activated biochar

My self Sarthak Lathiya (he/him), dedicated M. Eng student in Chemical Engineering at Dalhousie University, with a profound passion for bioprocess engineering, semi-synthetic adsorbents, adsorption, biochar and pyrolysis, water and wastewater treatment, and process optimization and control. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from GSFC University in 2023 during which I gained practical experience in polymer, fertilizer, Pharmaceutical, and ETP industry throughout my work terms. I have one year of experience as a graduate chemical process engineer in the specialty chemical industry. I am currently engaged in a research project focusing on the pyrolysis of waste materials to enhance the dye adsorption capacity. This research aims to develop sustainable and cost-effective methods for wastewater treatment and pollutant removal, contributing to environmental protection and resource recovery.
